Yet, his prodigious activity was coming out of the love of God, burning in him, and it was an effusion of spiritual light that he derived from God’s presence in his soul. That is why, Don Bosco never considered any activity as a threat to spiritual life: when one answers the call of the Lord with a total sacrifice of himself, everyday work becomes a prayer. Il testo fa riferimento alla figura di Don Bosco come individuo che ha visioni, fa profezie e compie miracoli, considerati doni carismatici non essenziali per la santità ma voluti da Dio come testimonianza nella Chiesa. Si afferma che il santo è interamente dedicato a Dio, cercando in Lui il principio e il fine di ogni pensiero, affetto e azione. Sebbene tutti i battezzati abbiano ricevuto la grazia divina, pochi cristiani raggiungono il livello spirituale per poter dire “Non sono più io che vivo, ma Cristo vive in me”.
