Ricorre la Festa Onomastica del Rettor Maggiore, che decide di preparare un regalo ai suoi Confratelli. Nella circolare del 19 Febbraio dell’anno 1905 fece notare con quanta solennità fu tenuto il Capitolo Generale ultimo e di quanta importanza è stato, per il modo con cui si svolse, per i Confratelli che vi presero parte e soprattutto per gli argomenti vitali per la loro Congregazione che vi si trattarono. Fu ammirabile la calma imperturbata che sempre vi regnò accompagnata da carità fraterna ed esemplare accondiscendenza anche nei casi di disparità di pareri. Quelle adunanze erano state veramente scuola di sapienza, d’umiltà e di carità. Intanto portava a loro conoscenza come il X Capitolo Generale aveva diviso le sue deliberazioni in due categorie. El modelo educativo-pastoral de Don Bosco, iniciado en Turín en 1841, evolucionó desde simples actividades catequísticas y recreativas hasta la consolidación de una obra con sede permanente en la Casa del Sr. Pinardi en Valdocco en 1846. A lo largo de los años, Don Bosco expandió su labor, adquiriendo la Casa Pinardi en 1850 y desarrollando instalaciones educativas más amplias.

Francis Desramaut – “Contemporary spirituality of the salesian family” in “Journal of Salesian Studies”

A noted Salesian scholar and author, Fr. Desramaut has recently undertaken a work of major proportions, a dictionary of Salesian spirituality. The title of the work is: Les cent mots-clefs de la spiritualite salesienne (One Hundred Keywords in Salesian Spirituality). It is being published in installments in Cahiers Salesiens, the journal of the Center of Salesian Studies in Lyons (France), over which Fr. Desramaut presides. The first installment of the work (containing entries from A to C) is prefaced by an introductory essay on Salesian spirituality. This is the essay which is given here in English as meticulously translated by Fr. Arthur J. Lenti.
