Il XVIII Capitolo Generale, che doveva tenersi a Torino-Valsalice, trovò sede più conveniente per la disponibilità e comodità di locali nella Casa-Madre di Torino-Valdocco. Svolse i suoi lavori dal 27 luglio al 9 agosto 1958, fu presieduto dal Sig. Don Ziggiotti, Rettor Maggiore, e diretto dal Regolatore Sig. Don Albino Fedrigotti, Prefetto Generale. Capitolo Generale IX – “Comunicazioni del Rettor Maggiore” in “IX Capitolo Generale (1-5 settembre 1901)”

Il Capitolo Generale delibera ad unanimità che il  Rettor Maggiore scelga una Commissione permanente la quale attenda al riordinamento delle Deliberazioni fatte nei precedenti Capitoli Generali che hanno carattere generale e sono complementi alle Costituzioni, separando quelle che esprimono solo voti o desideri od hanno semplicemente carattere direttivo. Queste Deliberazioni scelte dalla Commissione dovranno essere di nuovo presentate al prossimo Capitolo Generale, prima di essere mandate a Roma per l’approvazione. La parola Kenitra, in arabo, significa “piccolo ponte”, è il diminutivo della parola “ponte” “Kàntara”. Il nome della nostra città esprime perfettamente la nostra missione. Vogliamo essere un piccolo ponte teso tra il nord (Europa) ed il sud (Africa), tra la civiltà occidentale e la civiltà arabo-islamica, tra cristiani e musulmani.
