Il sistema educativo di don Bosco, di fatto, a partire dagli anni ’50 del Novecento, è stato studiato e descritto non sulla linea delle idee e delle “dottrine” pedagogiche, ma collocandolo nel suo contesto culturale, religioso e sociale, mettendo in relazione idee e fatti, quadri mentali e scelte operative.

Nasce per dare un’opportunità professionale a giovani rifugiati, con una particolare attenzione per le donne e coloro che provengono da situazioni di alta vulnerabilità (vittime di tratta, ex minori non accompagnati, vittime di torture). After World Youth Day 2002 (Toronto, Canada), the 3rd Continental Vocation Congress for Vocations in North America (Montreal 2002), a Pastoral Plan was published inviting the whole Church to nurture a Vocation Culture. In a vocation crisis context, a small group of FMAs in Canada and laity reflected on how to do this. The idea of a sustained discernment journey, the need for a loving and faithful accompaniment of young people began to emerge. L’expérience “Salohy” est née suite à la demande des jeunes animateurs des Oratorio de Madagascar, pour leur permettre de réaliser une expérience missionnaire auprès des enfants et des jeunes, dans un endroit où il n’y pas encore une présence des FMA ou des SDB. L’expérience “Salohy” a une double finalité: – pour les jeunes volontaires missionnaires, vivre une expérience missionnaire où ils sont des protagonistes pour porter la Bonne nouvelle aux autres jeunes; – pour les jeunes et les enfants du lieu de mission, partager la spiritualité et la méthode éducative de Don Bosco aux jeunes des autres paroisses ou diocèses.
