The recent General Chapters have treated the topic of “Salesian Brother” with deep concern, and the current state of affairs presents an urgent challenge. This matter concerns not only the Brothers but each individual within the community. It affects the entire body, the community, and a fundamental dimension of the Congregation. It’s not just about “him” but about “us” collectively.
Il brano presenta le caratteristiche della spiritualità della Comunità Missionaria di Cristo Risorto. Questa spiritualità è fondata sull’esperienza personale della Risurrezione di Cristo e sull’amore del Padre rivelato attraverso questa esperienza.
Ai maestri, agli assistenti, ai capi di laboratorio il Venerabile Padre fa appello, mostrando quanto anch’essi possano giovare, perchè regni la moralità nelle case. Il buon Padre, con particolare unzione inculca a tutti i suoi figli di regolare la loro condotta in modo che nessuno degli alunni o dipendenti loro possa gettar in faccia il noto proverbio: medice, cura te ipsum.

Nell’anniversario della morte del Venerabile Fondatore e Padre, don Rua sente irresistibile bisogno di rivolgere di nuovo qualche parola e alcune riflessioni sullo stato della cara Congregazione e sopra loro stessi. In questa giornata, dovrebbe essere naturale immaginare che D. Bosco dal cielo, ove per giudizio infallibile della Chiesa si trova, ripeta, con un’efficacia senza pari, alcuni insegnamenti e varie utilissime raccomandazioni, che si udivano dalle sue labbra durante la sua carriera mortale. The Letture Cattoliche or the Catholic Readings was St. John Bosco’s imaginative brainchild in his effort to bring good, decent and inspiring reading into the home. It appealed to a wide spectrum of persons from young to old, from commoners to high-born.
