Estos últimos, en su gran mayoría, llegaron huyendo de la violencia o buscando mejores condiciones de vida. This study will look at how the Salesian brother’s vocation appears in official Salesian writings while Don Bosco was founding the Salesian Congregation, and at how the Congregation has theologically reflected on that vocation as part of its renewal of its Constitutions. It will then examine how this identity has been applied.

En este capítulo expondremos su identidad comunitaria, sus dinamismos, su estilo de corresponsabilidad y las modalidades de animación de su crecimiento. De igual forma, la comunidad está llamada a invertir en la fi gura del educador salesiano.
Salesian Youth Ministry requires agreement of purpose and conviction on the part of all those involved in the planning and implementation of the Educative-Pastoral Community. In this chapter we shall examine the community identity, how it works, the style of shared responsibility and the way it is animated. The community is called to invest in the fi gure of the Salesian educator. In trying to discern and renew each activity and work, we look to the Salesian style, the “oratory criterion” that connects us with the practical insights of the charism (our way of living together in communion) which have become part of our shared patrimony, and are applicable to all contexts where Salesians operate. Importance is given to the way we offer signs of the Gospel in everyday life, and the way we cultivate authentic relationships and
communication.

In altro contributo del presente volume è stato sviluppato il tema dell’animazione culturale. Essa interessa due tipi di operatori. Ci sono i professionisti di diverse aree (educatori, insegnanti, sacerdoti, assistenti sociali, psicologi sociali, sindacalisti, politici, ecc.), il cui ruolo rimane sostanzialmente invariato; si modifica solo il modo di porsi, il modo di relazionarsi, per l’assunzione dello «spirito» dell’animazione ed utilizzazione delle sue tecniche.

Sin dalle origini della pedagogia salesiana notiamo la presenza attiva delle arti in essa, primariamente intesa e realizzata come il modo di esprimersi dei giovani. In queste nostre pagine sotto il termine “pedagogia salesiana” intenderemo l’insieme delle azioni educativo-formative intraprese da San Giovanni Bosco e dalle generazioni di Salesiani: con il passar del tempo esse trovarono la loro riflessione storico-scientifica in dialogo con le teorie pedagogiche del tempo. J’ai voulu répondre à l’appel du Congrès International de Pédagogie Salésienne: « Avec Don Bosco éducateurs des jeunes dans notre temps », par cette communication concernant le système préventif et l’écologie. C’est ma façon de rendre hommage au Saint des jeunes : Jean Bosco, dont nous célébrons cette année le bicentenaire de la naissance. Deux siècles se sont passés et pourtant il reste toujours vivant, à travers tous ceux et celles qui s’inspirent de ses
intuitions éducatives.
En primer lugar mi más cordial saludo a todas y todos los participantes en este Congreso Internacional de Pedagogía. Un especial saludo y mi agradecimiento a las personas que han organizado este evento y que han confiado en mí para poder presentar esta experiencia formativa a todos ustedes.
