A partir de 18972, llegan las primeras Hijas de Maria Auxiliadora (FMA) a Bogotà y con ellas, la propuesta educativa salesiana femenina, proveniente de Europa y generada en condiciones históricas particulares para insertarse, a partir de entonces, en la dinàmica de la sociedad colombiana, mediante un proceso de apropiación, donde lo apropiado se recrea permanentemente, porque este proceso no se limita a la recepción de saberes y pràcticas, sino que supone ademàs lo que emerge de la acción ejercida por el nuevo contexto cultural sobre lo que llega.
