When the letter is received, the Rector Major will already be on the threshold of GC24. He is deeply involved in its preparation, showing the same care and concern as Fr Egidio Vigano did since the theme selection, meticulously examining doctrinal and practical issues and studying the working method. The Chapter members have had access to the precapitular document for some time, available in various languages. This document offers a comprehensive synthesis of contributions from the Provinces and outlines reflection points for the Chapter. It is the outcome of the Precapitular Commission’s work, comprising sixteen confreres from different Provinces and thirteen countries, who convened at the Generalate for three weeks under the guidance of GC24’s Moderator, Fr Antonio Martinelli.
