The President opens the Seminar on Salesian History in South Asia-India in 2013. She emphasises the connection between historical research and Salesian identity in the Church and society. The need to document the Salesian presence in India emerges, preserving the educational and social heritage. The history of Salesian work in India is part of a larger and international history. The seminar is part of ACSSA’s activities and promotes a growing awareness of history in the Salesian Family.
