Egidio Viganò – “Letter of the Rector Major” in “Acts of the General Council of the salesian society of St John Bosco”

He is pleased to convey a special greeting and the apostolic blessing of the Holy Father. On Friday, February 13th, the Rector Major and his Council had a special audience with the Supreme Pontiff. Their intention was to express gratitude to His Holiness for his support during the centenary celebrations of ’88, particularly for the Apostolic Brief concerning the special “Year of Grace” and his commitment to visit Turin in September 1988. The audience was conducted in a warm, familial atmosphere, with friendly conversation highlighting the Pope’s concern for youth, his deep admiration for Don Bosco, and his paternal regard for the entire Salesian Congregation and Family.
