The Rector Major has just returned from an extensive journey, the longest one he has undertaken, which involved circling the globe. Through his travels, he has gained first-hand knowledge, albeit incomplete, of the Salesian presence in various nations worldwide. He highlights the growing appeal from the southern hemisphere, particularly evident through initiatives like Project Africa and the establishment of young foundations in Polynesia, Melanesia, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka. He acknowledges the vast missionary horizons that lie beyond their current endeavors, challenging their generosity to eschew comfort and to intensify efforts in increasing the efficacy of their works.
